What decides the price of a makhana machine
Every plant is different, so we quote per machine and capacity. These are the things that change the price.

- A 500 kg/hr machine has a bigger drum, frame and motor than a 50 kg/hr one.
- Material
- Stainless steel (SS 304 contact parts) costs more than mild steel but is food grade and rust-free.
- Heating
- Electric heaters and LPG burners differ in machine cost and running cost; choose by your power supply.
- Automation
- Conveyors, elevators and PLC packing machines reduce labour but add to the line cost.
- Number of machines
- A basic line needs 6–7 machines; flavoured snacks and automatic packing add more.
- Location
- Transport to your site and GST 18% are added to the machine price.

What is a makhana machine?
A makhana machine is any machine that does one step of makhana (fox nut) processing: washing and grading the raw seeds, roasting, popping, removing the shell, grading the popped makhana, roasting and flavouring it, and weighing and packing it. A complete makhana processing line uses several of these machines together.
Which machines do I need to start a makhana processing unit?
A basic unit needs a seed washer, seed grader, seed roaster, popping machine, huller and makhana grader, plus a band sealer for packing. Add a rotary roaster, flavouring machine and pouch packing machine to sell roasted and flavoured makhana.
What is the price of a makhana machine?

Are roasting and popping done on one machine?
In the ARF line they are separate: the seed roaster pre-heats and roasts graded seeds, and the popping machine then pops them. This gives a higher popping ratio and more uniform makhana.
Do you make machines for flavoured makhana snacks?
Yes. Rotary roasters and hot air roasters roast the makhana crisp, and rotary flavouring machines, coating pans and slurry kettles apply masala, oil or slurry evenly.
Where do you supply makhana machines?
We manufacture in Noida, Uttar Pradesh and dispatch across India. Our technician installs the machines at your site and trains your operators. Delivery is about 1 month after the order and every machine has a 12-month warranty.
